State Bank of India has recently released the notification for the post of clerk. The applications were invited from the candidates and those interested in the bank job have filled the application for the SBI clerk exam in 2018.

Exam strategy plays an important role in cracking the exam. Now it is not easy to clear the exam, so for this, the candidates need to know the exam pattern for the exam. In the clerical exam, the questions will be from the three subjects which are quantitative aptitude, English and reasoning ability.

There will be total 100 questions out of which 35 questions from reasoning ability, 30 from English and 35 from quantitative aptitude. The SBI clerical exam will be of 60 minutes. It is important for the candidates to practice the online test so that they can attempt maximum questions with accuracy in the given time.

Quantitative Aptitude

  • Number system, LCM & HCF, simplification, average, profit and loss, number series, ratio and proportion, percentage, Partnership, profit/loss and discount, time and work, time and distance, pipes and cistern, boats and cistern, mixture and allegation, algebra, linear and quadratic equation, square roots and cube roots, data interpretation, mensuration, bar graphs, linear and quadratic equations, pie charts, compound interest and simple interest

Reasoning Ability

  • Coding-decoding, subject overview, syllogism, seating arrangement, direction sense, input-output, data sufficiency, blood relation, directions, number ranking, time sequence, mathematical operations, analytical reasoning, cause and effects

English Language

  • Spotting of errors, reading comprehension, phrase substitution, close test, orientation, choosing the correct word, synonyms and antonyms, ordering of sentences, double blanks in a sentence, choosing the appropriate filter

General Awareness

  • Indian history, Indian polity and constitution, geography, Indian economy, games and sports, Indian economy, physical and Indian geography, traditional general knowledge, general science, awards and honours

After knowing the syllabus the candidates can prepare a schedule of how they can prepare for the SBI clerk exam. They must start the preparation from the sample papers and the previous year exams so that they can get to know the latest SBI clerk study material, exam pattern and the type of questions which come in the exam.
