AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) is an entrance test conducted by Indian Air Force for the aspiring candidates to who want to join as Commissioned officer in Ground Duty (Technical and Non technical) and Flying. This test is conducted two times in a year February and August. This test is conducted at national level and a large number of candidates appear for AFCAT every year. There are total 163 branches offered in this. The candidates must start the preparation for the exam so that they can clear the exam and prepare for the next level of afcat 2019.
AFCAT 2019 Application form
The candidates to get them registered for afcat apply online. The application form is available online and the candidates have to fill the application form the official website of Indian Air Force (IAF). There is no offline mode available for the submission of application. Following is the procedure to download the application form:-
AFCAT 2019 Registration
- First of all login to the official career website of Indian Air Force for afcat login.
- Then you have to click on the section ‘candidate login’.
- Then you will be redirected to a new page where you have to enter all the details like your name, mobile number and email id.
- Click ‘Submit’ and a new Registration ID and password will be sent to your through mail.
How to aply for AFCAT 2019
- All the details must be filled by the candidates as required.
- Then you have to select the branch, subject for the EKT and exam centre for AFCAT.
- Then upload the scanned photograph and signature according to the dimensions mentioned.
- Click ‘submit’.
Then the candidates have to pay the application fee which must be paid by the candidates and the exam fee is Rs.250. It can be paid through net banking, debit card and credit card. This fee is non refundable.
AFCAT 2019 Eligibility criteria
The candidates who are interested to apply for this exam must also check for the iaf exam eligibility.
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- The candidates must be below 25 years and unmarried.
- Divorcees/Widowers below the age of 25 years are not eligible.
- For the Flying Branch – the candidates must have scored 60% in physics and maths at 10+2 level.
- Minimum 60% marks in Graduation of 3 years minimum from a recognised university.
AFCAT 2019 Age limit
The age limit varies for the different branches. The date of birth accepted by IAF is which is mentioned in the secondary school or Matriculation certificate or recognised by any Indian certificate .The following is the age limit eligibility:-

AFCAT 2019 Exam pattern
The candidates must also check for the exam pattern so that they can get to know the pattern of afcat 2019. They can practice according to the pattern and make strategy how they will be attempting the questions. Those candidates who will be appearing for the exam of ground duty technical also have to appear for the EKT (Engineering Knowledge Test). The exam will be held on 16th and 17th February, 2019 and before that the candidates must check for the exam pattern of afcat which is given as follows:-

AFCAT 2019 Syllabus and selection process
The candidates must check the afcat syllabus so that they can start the preparation of the exam accordingly. They should check the syllabus of all the subjects so that they can score well and clear the cut off. The candidates must also know the selection procedure. Those who will clear AFCAT 2019 will be called at one of Air Force selection Boards. Those who have applied for meteorology and NCC special entry will be called for AFSB testing. Those who applied for flying branch can opt for the centre. It can be chosen from the official website of Indian Air Force where the date and venue can be decided by the candidates selected.
Final merit list
It is important for the candidates to score the minimum marks so that they can appear for the next round of recruitment. The names of the qualified candidates will be in the merit list which will be based on the marks secured in written exams and in AFSB test. There are also 10% vacancies which are reserved for NCC air wing senior division ‘C’ certificate holders.
